Interruptions

The work in Masi is progressing fairly well apart from some interrutions due to various reasons. On Friday for example I drove down with Jeff and wanted to collect the keys to the building from Mama Doreen who keeps the keys for us. She said someone else had already come to fetch the keys, but nobody knew who this person was. So we waited for quite a bit until we finally were able to do some work of renovating.
Additionally some of our stuff got stolen recently. Jeff and I were just about to do some finishing touches on the walls when we noticed that that particular bucket of paint was gone. A CD player and some of my CDs had also gone a few days earlier. It is not a train smach, but it does slow thing down. We installed ew locks all around, because too many people had access to the building.
Apart from using the doors there is an other way to enter the building – through a gap in the roof. So it was part of the job of the carpenter to fix that gap. He left the previous day having not fully completed the job. The next day the gap was open again and we were asking oursleves what had happened. You wont believe it, but opposite is a church whos pastor uses a tap from inside our building for tea and coffee. When he doesn’t have a key – so the pastor tells us – he climbs through the roof. This time it was sealed so he had to damage the work of the carpenter to get in. Shaking heads.
